Gardeners are coming to appreciate the grace and beauty of these wonderful plants and are finding places for them in their beds and borders.
There are grasses for almost every situation. Some look good in pots; many fit in well in mixed borders contrasting and harmonizing with broad-leafed plants. There also provide height and structure. If you are starting a bed from scratch, try putting the grasses in first.
In winter they can create remarkable effects. Often they are the only plants standing. Their autumn shades of buff, copper, dull gold and beige can enhance the winter garden. Frost and snow on the tall grasses can produce dramatic effects. Notably Miscanthus keep their stately appearance.

We have about 130 different ornamental grasses in the Nursery. Each year we add a few to the list and drop those, which have not proved to be garden worthy or do not sell.
Please note we have limited numbers of some specimens either because they are slow to bulk up or we cannot keep up with demand. The prefix [LN] in the description of a grass on our list indicates it is available in limited numbers.
