Gail Summerfield MSc Dip Hort [RHS]

 

Gail trained  as a botanist and plant physiologist, and she has several years recent experience as a lecturer at Bishop Burton College.  A combination of theory and 22 years know-how running a nursery makes her well informed and  an interesting speaker.

Fees and travel costs are reviewed each year. The current fee is £40 and travelling is charged at 30p per mile plus bridge tolls. We are willing to come up to 100 miles [3 hours in one direction]. If requested to drive greater distances, we may have to ask for overnight accommodation. We bring plants to sell with no commissions. 

 

Talks can be tailored for special occasions, but that will incur a small additional fee. The fee for talks to large groups may be slightly higher.

Visits to the Nursery

Gardening clubs and other groups are welcome to visit the Nursery. Please contact John [01724 733940] to make arrangements. Light refreshments will be provided and we ask for a donation to Perennial [Gardeners Royal Benevolent Society].
